The Yves Saint Laurent collection can be described in this way: trenches, smoking, skirts with ruffles, feathers, lots of erotic sides, these are the essential elements in what concerns the lines, in a sober and neuter chromatic, which is reigned by the dark tones of blue, black, sand beige and punctuated by some strong accents in mandarin orange with bronze green. The exposing of the skin in certain “tribalism” have been leitmotivs of the collection where one of the outfits has also embroidery with patterns and some pantsuits were worn with an empty back.

Stella McCartney places the accent on denim, which is declined in shirts, skirt – pants, polo, next to long silk skirts with plisses, key element of the season and some citric prints, which are oversized with a white background or leisure jackets in pastel colors worn with high waist pants.

Winter trends Vol.2

If in the past this theme was shown as being the image of Queen Elisabeth or Margaret Tatcher, or even that of the amateur detective Miss Maple, this time the characters are purely fictional.

So, how would a perfect outfit look like according to all these elements? Well, think of a flower embroidered dress made of multiple layers of fabric and in a much loosened manner that is loosened on the body and it’s really comfortable in the same time. The next step consists in adding a jacket in a neutral tone, because you’ve chosen to apply for a really colored piece of clothing and you have to mild the effect a little bit.

As for the other details, make sure that you’ve applied for a pair of high heeled boots that are made in a similar color tone as that of the jacket and you’re going to look complete. The final piece consists in an accessory, which is in this case a hat. Let’s add that hats and caps are really popular and you have to add them in almost every combination of details you decide to apply for.

We were mentioning something about a checkers design. Well, it seems that you can apply for a dress that is made entirely of checkers and around it place a waist line that is made of leather. Be sure to adorn this belt with a purse, a pair of boots, a pair of gloves and maybe a hat. All of these can be made in a warm tone and in the same time you have to make sure that these are complementary colors.

So, lines and checkers are really popular, flower embroidery as well and let’s not forget to add about tall boots – all of these details mentioned here are part of winter trends.

Winter trends Vol.1

There’s the English flair, tweed and tartan – essential elements whenever it comes to this season’s fashion and all of these are ripped from the move of Altman “Gosford Park”. The only difference between the other seasons that had at the basis the same ideas consists in the dandy and sophisticated air that the designers propose now. There are the capes and kilts, cashmere and tweed, but also embroidered shoes with silver.

The tweed jacket is combined perfectly with skirts with plisses and high boots, made of fuzzy leather. The transparent tops made of veil, add a really feminine note and the checkers are observable as well.
